Micropen

Micropen is an innovation in esthetic medical treatment. It is a medical device use to treatment fine lines, acne scars, and to improve the skin's texture and tone. During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Typically a series of 3-5 treatments are recommended to achieve optimal results. Treatment time is usually 30-60 minutes depending on size of area being treated.

Approximately 48 to 72 hours after the treatment you'll have an increase in collagen production. It takes at least four weeks to see noticeable results though. The new collagen will last for several years, which is why micro needling treatment is considered a very long lasting treatment.

Immediately after a micro-needling treatment the skin can appear flushed like a light sunburn to deeper pink with pinpoint bleeding for deeper treatments. Mild discomfort and redness are common side effects. Typically any redness will resolve within 1-2 day.
